Schlieper Closes Out 2011 Season at World
Finals
After
over a month away from the racetrack, Dan Schlieper Racing returned
to action from November 3-5 at the immaculate Dirt Track at Charlotte
in Concord, North Carolina. The 5th Annual 'Lowes Foods World Finals'
took place at the 4/10-mile speedplant over the weekend and a pair
of $10,000 top prizes were on the line. During World of Outlaws Late
Model Series qualifying on Thursday night, Dan Schlieper timed in
thirty-ninth fastest for Friday's show and fifty-third quickest for
Saturday's program.
While Dan ran strong throughout the weekend, he was
not able to overcome his qualifying times from Thursday and unfortunately
missed out on both 50-lap feature events. On Friday, Dan ran sixth
in his heat race and seventh in his B-Main, while he wound up seventh
in his heat race and fifth in his B-Main on Saturday. Full results
from the 'Lowes Foods World Finals' can be viewed online at www.worldofoutlaws.com.

Dan Schlieper Competes in Knoxville LM
Nationals
Dan
Schlieper and the #s9 team traveled to the historic Knoxville Raceway
in Knoxville, Iowa from September 29-October 1 for the 8th Annual
'Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals.' On Thursday night, Dan
grabbed the fourth transfer spot through his loaded heat race and
later wound up twentieth in the final rundown of the $7,000 to win
prelim. In Friday's $7,000 to win show, Dan once again finished fourth
in his heat race prior to notching a nineteenth place effort in the
25-lap semifeature.
When Saturday rolled around at the 1/2-mile facility,
Dan was faced with the task of finishing in the top six in the B-Main
to transfer into the $40,000 to win 'Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville
Nationals.' Unfortunately, the Sullivan, Wisconsin ace suffered mechanical
problems during the consolation race and wound up twenty-fourth, which
kept him out of the 100-lapper. View complete results from Knoxville
