Dan Schlieper Competes in Huge Week at
Lowe's to Wrap-Up 2008 Season!
Dan
Schlieper and his #9 Dirt Late Model team traveled to the state-of-the-art
Dirt Track at the Lowe's Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina
last week (October 29-November 1) for a trio of high-profile World
of Outlaws Late Model Series shows to close out their 2008 season.
The tripleheader kicked off on Wednesday with the $10,000 to win 'Armour
Vienna Sausage Showdown' at the 4/10-mile, Charlotte-area venue. Dan
transferred into the 50-lap main event by finishing second in his
B-Main. After rolling off from the inside of the twelfth row in the
topless 'Armour Vienna Sausage Showdown,' the Sullivan, Wisconsin
native worked his way past nine competitors en route to a fourteenth
place effort.
The 'VAULT World Finals' then took center stage at Lowe's from Thursday
through Saturday. After a night of qualifying on Thursday, Dan unfortunately
failed to make the starting grid for Friday's $10,000 to win A-Main
following sixth and fourth place finishes in his heat race and B-Main
respectively. Things got much better for the #9 team in Saturday's
finale at Lowe's, which was held in front of a huge crowd and a live
SPEED Channel audience. Dan ran third in his competitive heat race
and later wound up twenty-first in the final rundown of the $10,000
to win, 50-lap feature event. You can view complete results, along

Schlieper Travels to Lowe's this Week
for Four-Day Showdown!
After
taking the October 24-25 weekend off from Dirt Late Model competition,
the Dan Schlieper Racing team will return to dirt-slinging action
this week at the Dirt Track at the Lowe's Motor Speedway in Concord,
North Carolina. The state-of-the-art facility will play host to a
huge four-day, World of Outlaws Late Model Series extravaganza starting
tonight, October 29 and concluding on Saturday night, November 1.
The rain-postponed 'Armour Vienna Sausage Showdown' will kick-off
the week tonight, as the topless race offers a unique passing bonus
that could push the first-place prize of the 50-lap A-Main to as much
as $30,000.
The 'VAULT World Finals' will then take center stage for the rest
of the week at Lowe's. Qualifying will take place on Thursday night
at the 4/10-mile oval, which will set the heat race lineups for both
the Friday and Saturday shows. The 'VAULT World Finals' is headlined
by a pair of $10,000 to win, 50-lap main events on Friday and Saturday,
with the weekend finale being broadcast LIVE on the SPEED Channel.

Dan Schlieper and his #9 Dirt

into the $50,000 to win main event on Saturday evening. When the dirt-slinging
