Dan Schlieper Readies for Big Labor Day Weekend at Portsmouth
and WVMS!
(SULLIVAN, WISCONSIN) Dan Schlieper and his #s9 Rockstar Energy Drink
team headed to the Ohio Valley over the August 27-28 weekend for a
pair of Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series battles in the states of
Indiana and Kentucky. On Friday night, the Lawrenceburg Speedway in
Lawrenceburg, Indiana played host to a $10,000 to win SPEED Channel
taped program. Dan ran third in heat race action and later rolled
off eleventh on the grid in the 50-lap main event. In front of a huge
crowd at the southeastern Indiana complex, Dan hung around the top
ten and wound up twelfth in the final rundown.
The Bluegrass Speedway in Bardstown, Kentucky was up next for the
#s9 team on Saturday evening, as another $10,000 top prize was up
for grabs. Dan finished sixth in his heat race and fourth in his B-Main,
but took use of a series provisional to gain access into the 50-lap
'Bluegrass Classic.' After starting twenty-fourth, the Sullivan, Wisconsin
native was inching forward during the A-Main until he was crashed
by another competitor and relegated to a disappointing twenty-third
place performance. Dan currently sits eighth in the latest version

The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will take the Dan Schlieper
Racing team to the states of Ohio and West Virginia over the Labor
Day weekend for two huge mega-events. On Friday and Saturday, September
3-4, the Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio will play host
to the 'Pepsi 75 River Days Rumble,' which boasts a hefty $20,000
top prize. The extended holiday weekend will then conclude on Sunday,
September 5 at the West Virginia Motor Speedway in Mineral Wells,
West Virginia. A $42,000 winner's check is on the line in the 42nd
